Zanjeer (also known as Ginger, because of his colouring) served as a detection dog with the Mumbai Police, in Maharashtra state of India.
He joined the Mumbai Police Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad in December 1992, where Zanjeer was known for his incredible ability to detect explosives and other weapons.
Zanjeer known best for his contribution to the 1993 Mumbai bombings. He helped recover 3,329 kilograms of the explosive RDX, 600 detonators, 249 hand grenades, and 6,406 rounds of live ammunition.
